Elizabeth Sanford MOT, OTR/L, CPAM
Clinical Director
Occupational Therapist

• Received her Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University

• Received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and Psychology at Whittier College

• Additional training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) for patients with neurological pathophysiology

• Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention certified for patients with oral motor difficulties

• Physical Agent Modalities certified to provide superficial and deep thermal agents, and electrotherapeutic agents to patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions

• Sequential Oral Sensory Approach certified for feeding with specialized instruction from the founder, Kay Toomey

• Sensory Integration Certification through USC with specialization in feeding and Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Practiced in a variety of settings including inpatient hospital, outpatient, home-based, and clinic-based with children and adults with mild to severe disabilities

• When not treating patients, Liz conducts presentations to other professionals advocating for the OT profession, and providing education on topics related to deficit identification, sensory processing, and improving family/patient outcomes using communication

Liz enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, two sons, and daughter. When not hanging out at the clinic, Liz and her family enjoy being outside, riding bikes, and gardening!

Vince Hoffman PT, DPT, C/NDT

• Received his Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Southern California

• Received his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences with a minor in Psychology at Linfield College (now Linfield University) 

• Certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) for pediatric patients with neurological pathophysiology

• Nearly 20 years of experience treating children in clinic, home and school settings

Vince enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and their German Shepherd! When not at work, Vince enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking, or at home rooting for the Dodgers and the Linfield University football team (Go Wildcats!)

Ashley Khan MS, OTR/L
Lead Occupational Therapist

• Received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at California State University Dominguez Hills

• Received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State University of Northridge

• Has practiced pediatric occupational therapy in a variety of settings including clinic-based, schools, and in the home

• Professional interests include feeding, early intervention, and sensory integration

• Received training in the AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys going on adventures around SoCal, cooking, reading, and most of all spending time with her husband and dog!

Marissa Ayala MOT, OTR/L

• Received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University of Fullerton

• Professional interests include early intervention and sensory integration

Marissa enjoys exploring national parks, camping with her family, hiking in the mountains, and reading. She spends a lot of her time outdoors with her dog and loves trying new restaurants!

Crisca enjoys working out at the gym, cooking with her family, and creating macramé designs. She spends a lot of quality time with her dog and loves thrift shopping!

Jess enjoys running, Crossfit, jiujitsu, or anything that keeps her active while simultaneously giving her a chance to socialize! She also loves hanging out with her family/friends, trying new things and going new places, but is a homebody at heart!

• Received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University

• Received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University

• Katy’s professional interests include: pediatrics, neurology, and aquatic therapy

Katy enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling with friends and family. She is a former D1 athlete who now competes in triathlons!

Brian Apin PT, DPT

• Received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University

• Received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Health from Azusa Pacific University

• Certified in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) for patients with neurological pathophysiology

• Nearly 20 years of experience treating children in clinic, home, and school settings

• Brian's professional interests are pediatrics, neurology, orthopedic rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, and hippotherapy

Brian enjoys snowboarding, surfing, and spending time with his wife and kids at Disneyland. In his free time, he manages a Challenger (special needs) baseball team. His favorite professional baseball team is the New York Yankees

Megan’s professional interest include pediatrics and orthopedic rehab

Megan enjoys playing many different sports, watching movies and shows, going to the beach, Disneyland, and taking trips to Hawaii with her family. She loves hanging out at home or eating good food with her family and friends!

Elise enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snowboarding, and swimming at the beach. She likes participating in yoga classes to stay active. She also enjoys visiting amusement parks with her favorite being Disneyland!

• Kyan enjoys being a mom to her two wonderful children, making music with her husband, baking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family

• Professional interests include pediatrics, orthopedic rehabilitation, and also has experience working with the geriatric population

Maddie enjoys relaxing at the beach, having movie marathons with her family, and going to as many baseball games as she can (Go Chicago Cubs!) In her free time, she also teaches dance classes to kiddos of all ages!

• Professional interests include preschool and school-aged phonological and social language remediation

Katie enjoys yearly trips to visit family in the Netherlands, skiing trips with her family, hiking in the local mountains, cycling and reading. She spends a great deal of her time exploring the outdoors and loves to bake!

Hillary Rivas MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

• Received her Master’s in 2014 from California State University, Northridge in California, CA. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed by the state of California in Speech-Language Pathology

• Hillary has numerous years of experience in a variety of pediatric settings including: preschools, elementary schools, and private practice. She has been a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary assessment team, as well as planned and implemented a multidisciplinary “Parent and Me” speech-language development program

• Hillary has completed the SCERTS training. She believes that social communication and emotional regulation go hand-in-hand, and she is passionate about empowering families by giving them the knowledge and tools to facilitate and encourage their child’s communication abilities

When Hillary is not working, she spends her time playing with her three children, reading, going to concerts, hiking, and traveling

Leah Fullman ScD, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

• Earned her Master of Science in Communication Disorders at Southern Illinois University in 2011. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed by the state of California and Alabama in Speech-Language Pathology

• Leah completed her Doctoral degree in 2018 with her research focused on pediatric dysphagia

• Additionally, she received her MBA from Faulkner University in 2022

• Leah has numerous years of experience in a variety of pediatric settings including children’s hospital, private practices, and school systems

• Leah is a tenured professor who teaches Master's and Doctoral courses in speech-language pathology and the broader health sciences. She also supervises doctoral students working on their dissertations

In her free time, Leah enjoys hiking, dancing, and traveling with her husband and three sons

Catherine Miranda MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

• Received her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Loma Linda University

• Received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Biola University

• Over eight years as a speech and language pathologist and over ten years in the field

• Has worked and supervised in many different settings including adult and pediatric home health, hospital, private practice, and educational settings

• Is a PROMPT trained clinician, AAC/AT trained, as well as advanced training in natural language acquisition

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys trying new recipes, traveling, and spending time with her husband and young son

Kaitlin Regan MA, CF-SLP
Lead Speech-Language Pathologist

Received her Bachelors of Arts in Communicative Disorders from California State University Fullerton

• Will be receiving her Masters of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders in December 2022

• Professional interests include play-based early intervention and preschool/school-aged language intervention

In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys country line dancing, watching shows on Netflix, and going to the movies. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, fiancé, and her dog

Adriana Lopez MS, CF-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

• Received her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Redlands

• Received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chapman University

• Professional interests include child-centered, play-based early intervention, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and school-aged articulation and language intervention

• Passionate about incorporating the child’s interests during therapy and providing caregiver education regarding various intervention strategies for carryover into the home setting

Adriana enjoys spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend, and Maltese. In her free time, she likes exercising, visiting museums, going to concerts, and traveling

• Received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State Los Angeles

• Professional interests include preschool and school-aged phonological and language intervention

• Christopher loves to spend time with his wife at the beach and explore new towns. He also enjoys spending time with friends. He enjoys cooking and serving his church on Sundays and their weekly events. He has seven nieces and nephews that keep him on his toes

• Received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State Los Angeles

• Professional interests include play-based early intervention and school aged children

Shannon loves spending time with her family and friends. When not at work, Shannon enjoys the beach, hiking, baseball (Go Dodgers!) and Disneyland with her husband and kids!

Katherine Carmona SLPA
Speech-Language Pathology Asst.

• Received her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Los Angeles

Kathy is a bilingual SLPA, her professional interest are early intervention, Assistive and Augmentative Communication, and other forms of multimodal communication to help clients succeed in their everyday lives. Kathy believes in carryover at home to help clients and families with their speech and language needs

Kathy’s personal interest are her dog and being active outdoors, she enjoys adventures with her boyfriend and seeing new locations.

Kylie Hogue SLPA
Speech-Language Pathology Asst.

• Received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Sciences & Disorders from California State University, Fullerton 

• Professional interests include early intervention and school-aged language intervention. Kylie is passionate about making therapy interactive and able to be carried over and used at home for the most growth! 

Kylie loves spending time with her family and friends (and cat). Kylie loves to read, do arts and crafts, and spend time outside hiking or at the beach!

Ali Perkinson MS, CCC-SLP, BCBA
Speech-Language Pathologist

• Received her Master’s in 2013 from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed by the state of California and New Jersey in Speech-Language Pathology

• Ali completed her doctorate degree in 2019 where her research interests included the social communication profiles of autistic individuals and determining the intricacies of dating on the spectrum

• Additionally, she received her Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from Pennsylvania State University in 2012. She received her Autism Specialist certification from Pennsylvania State University in 2014

• Ali has numerous years of experience in a variety of pediatric settings including Children’s Hospital, private practices, and school systems. She has worked both domestically and internationally

• Ali is also trained in PROMPT, Talk Tools, trauma-informed care, neurodiverse couples counseling, Safe and Sound Protocol, and PECs

When Ali is not working, she spends her time with her husband and traveling
